Summer is almost here and it already feels like it's been a full year at YWAM. We just finished our second year in a row hosting the Western All Circle Team or WACT conference. We had 51 YWAM bases join us here in Lakeside, Montana for a week to connect and pray into what God is doing. It was a great time to see other people that we have networked with in the past and in some things currently! God really showed up but it took a lot out of us staff in hosting and loving our guest well!
Izzy is gearing up for another MMI school that will commence in the Fall. She and another team will be traveling to Asia this Summer (August) to partner with and help write worship songs in oral mother tongue of the people group that they are working with. It's super exciting that for the first time people will be able to have worship music in their native tongue. Their will be more to the outreach but this is a huge step as YWAM is really focusing on gettting the Bible in Oral Mother Tongue so we can End Bible Poverty Now and let people expeirence the Bible in their own native tongue!
Ben is still overseeing the Office and has been jumping into some "Book" studies with other groups on campus to get more connected. It has been a good seson for Ben to expand some of his roles and move into areas where he can get to know others more intently then just small talk at the Front Desk. They did create a spot on video over the Front Desk and "why" it serves the base that will be out on social media soon so if you do not follow YWAM Lakeside Facebook page that is where it will be released in the coming weeks! We have heard from our Creative Media team it turned out really well!
Kelsey just finished seventh grade and she did not miss a day of school this past year! She ended with straight A's and blew our minds with all the things she accomplished this past year! Thank you so much for praying for her! She was involved in the School Theatre Play of "Alice in Wonderland" where she had some lines. She is hoping she will get more lines in eigth grade! TIme will tell. She also, decided to sing in front of her whole school in the Talent Show and she did a wonderful job. Izzy and Ben were blown away as neither of us would have ever stood up and sang in front of the masses!
